Setup prompts to run ScanDisk when installing over Win95 due to auto feature.
Cause:
Windows 95 Setup automatically scans the hard disk for errors during installation. In this case, errors are detected on the drive and Setup will prompt the user to run 'ScanDisk' and fix these errors.
Solution:
Quit Setup and run 'ScanDisk' from the 'Start' menu.
1) Click the 'Start' button to display the 'Start' menu
2) Select the 'Programs' menu and select 'Accessories'.

3) Select the 'System Tools' menu and select 'ScanDisk'. (The 'ScanDisk' dialog box appears.)

4) Select the desired drive from the 'Select the drive(s) you want to check for errors' list box.

5) Select the 'Thorough' radio button in the 'Type of test' group.
6) Select the 'Automatically fix errors' check box.
7) Click 'Start' to begin ScanDisk. (When ScanDisk is complete, the 'ScanDisk Results' dialog box appears.)
8) Click 'Close'. (The 'ScanDisk Results' dialog box closes, and the 'ScanDisk' dialog box reappears.)
9) Click 'Close' to close the 'ScanDisk' dialog box.
